Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Brown the butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty.
  3. Mash bananas in a bowl.
  4. Mix bananas with brown butter and sugars.
  5. Add eggs and vanilla and stir well.
  6. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl.
  7. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  8. Stir in chocolate chips.
  9. Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes.
  10. Cool before slicing.

Notes

  1. Use overripe bananas for the best flavor.
  2. Do not overmix the batter to keep the bread soft.
  3. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
