Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
  • 6 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar.
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 tsp salt.
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 0.5 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips optional.

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch Baking Pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk and spatula
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. Prepare: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your 9x13 pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. Make Crust: Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8 minutes.
  3. Make Brownies: Whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Fold in cocoa, flour, and salt until just combined.
  4. Bake Base: Pour brownie batter over the crust. Bake for 22-25 minutes.
  5. Add Marshmallows: Remove pan, sprinkle marshmallows (or spread fluff) evenly over the top. Return to oven for 3-5 minutes until marshmallows are puffed and toasted golden.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let cool completely before lifting out of the pan and slicing with a clean, hot knife.

Notes

  • For the "Fluff" Version: If using marshmallow fluff, dollop it over the brownies in the final 3 minutes rather than spreading it, which can be messy.
  • Quality Matters: Use Dutch-processed cocoa for the deepest chocolate flavor.
