Ingredients
  

  • 1 shot espresso or ½ cup strong coffee
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 –2 teaspoons sugar optional
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla or caramel syrup optional

Equipment

  • Tall glass
  • Spoon or stirrer
  • Coffee maker or kettle
  • Measuring cup

Method
 

  1. Brew strong coffee or espresso.
  2. Allow the coffee to cool slightly.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the coffee over the ice.
  5. Add cold milk slowly.
  6. Stir gently to combine.
  7. Add sugar or flavored syrup if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Use strong coffee so the flavor stays rich.
  2. Plant-based milk like oat or almond milk also works well.
  3. Add chocolate syrup for a mocha version.
