Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches

Tender shredded beef sandwiches served with rich au jus, made easily in the slow cooker for a perfect lunch or dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs chuck roast
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone or Swiss cheese

  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Forks for shredding
  • Serving bowls

Method
 

  1. Place chuck roast in slow cooker.
  2. Add onions, garlic, and seasonings.
  3. Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cook on low for 8–9 hours or high for 4–5 hours.
  5. Shred the beef and return it to the juices.
  6. Toast rolls lightly and fill with beef.
  7. Add cheese and melt if desired.
  8. Serve with warm au jus for dipping.
